In
the same year, his mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, died. Harry was not yet 13.
The bereavement affected the younger prince acutely but gradually he found consolation
in sport. He has become a keen skier on family holidays to Switzerland and regularly
attends England rugby matches. In January this year, Harry
rose into the public realm when the News of The World ignored the press blackout
on the young princes and revealed Harry's drink and drug antics. Realising
that the revelation may not be the scandal the press were hoping for - marijuana
and teenage drinking being commonplace in today's society - Charles accepted the
accusations and took Harry to a drug clinic to show him the perils of future indulgence.
A website called leaveharryalone.com sprung up and now Harry once again appears
to be enjoying Eton's privacy away from a respectfully-silent media. |
